Tropics. Election. Trump Wins. Maps.
Still watching Caribbean down the road.
Nothing going on right now.
So I'm going to show the real weather across the country here.
The nation is either celebrating or reeling in shock.
Not much weather going on...
..some freeze warnings N of the Mason Dixie Line.
Not a big surprise there.
Speaking of Mason Dixie Line I hope the West Coast does not secede.
I mean they could that's one solid block of blue out there.
I love maps.
Everyone round here knows I love maps.
I'm sort of a map slut.
Stole that from a movie.
Name that movie.
By county ....
You can make out the cities.
Miami to WPB
Orlando.
Tampa Bay (sorry Mike but you did win)
Chicago.
Atlanta.
NE.
LA.
San Francisco.
Seattle.
Maps show much.
Sometimes a map tells a thousand words.
So America voted and my prediction was correct.
She's not going anywhere.
Trust me.
Love ya all.
Today is a day to come together.
A day to process and reflect.
Oh and I'm going shopping.
Besos BobbiStorm.
Ps I bought that Lancome Gift. Good gift.
Full size mascara..the good ones.
Great blush and highlighter.
Cute old school Ballet Bag like I used to have...
Gifts for my daughters for Chanukah.
Giving my granddaughter lip gloss.
No she isn't that old..she thinks she is...
I'll update when there is something to update.
Hope President Elect Trump gives more money to the NHC.
Tropics in November? Caribbean Possibilities. Winter and Boots are On the Way. Election Day. God Bless America!
So while waiting for the polls to close and trying not too think too much on politics I thought I'd update the blog with the latest tropical possibilities. The "models" have been hinting at tropical development in the Caribbean. The Deep SW Caribbean is prime time for tropical development up through Thanksgiving when most people are happy cold fronts are moving South.
The GFS, EURO and even the Canadian shows various spoiler alerts for the tropics yet it is still far out and nothing to rely upon. I mention it only as a comment on the tropics as even though we are voting on Presidential elections, talking football and baseball is in the rear view mirror it is still Hurricane Season. There is a reason it goes until November 30th and the Caribbean is one of those reasons. Also, sometimes, development happens in odd parts of the Atlantic. November in the tropics is sort of a "wild card" game not something to bet the farm on . . .
There is nothing to see right now other than long range models and I'm not ready to show images of tropical storms harassing Jamaica just yet or making a run at the Gulf of Mexico.
Note the frontal boundary marching SE across the US.
Tropical Atlantic still showing moisture.
Far out in the Eastern Atlantic there is a mess of convection.
Closer to the islands is a West bound wave riding low.
MJO may be a factor in aiding development.
Really hard to see anything happen.
But we keep watching.
As for the election.
I'll give you my prediction.
We have not seen the last of Kellyanne Conway.
Even if Trump loses she is not going away.
That's my prediction.
Maybe a show on some conservative channel??
That girl knows how to talk.
And coming from a talker like me.
That's high praise.
I may not always agree with what she is saying.
But amazed how she keeps talking.
That said...pretty sure we all know who Mike is voting for..
I'll keep talking Tropics until the tropics until November 30th.
When the um... overweight maiden sings.
Everyone take care.
Winter is coming down faster than we realize.
Raleigh had a frost warning.
I'm going to NY next week.
Shopping for boots, high heels for a party.
This picture says it all.
Boots and sandals.
That time of year.

Just a heads up that the yellow dot is gone.
Nothing TROPICAL forming in the Atlantic.
There is something out there but it's not tropical.
There's actually a lot going on in the Atlantic.
But it's not coming towards us.
It all depends on your priorities.
A good discussion on the Atlantic.

He does surf reports, weather reports.
@DaDaBuh
Sometimes he puts up good music ;)
But if you are not a ship at sea or a surfer.
It's quiet times across most of the country.
As I said the other day.
This is the In Between Time...
World Series are over.
Impressive Chicago Cubs win..
Election is on Tuesday..
We don't know who is gonna win.
No winter yet.
No snow.
Even the rain has stayed away from most places.
If you are wondering on Election Day Weather...
So far pretty decent weather to vote if you haven't done so already.
I'll update this on Sunday.
Not trusting the short term forecast lately.
"They" insisted the rain would fall over night.
You know like Camelot
(Google it, song line)
But front moved slower.
It's raining though the sun is peaking out now.
Who do you believe?
The polls?
MSNBC? FOX? CNN?
Buzz Feed?
Facebook News (hahaha)
Accuweather vs The Weather Channel?
Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts.
(Caribou Coffee is really good)
Love their logo but I digress
Seems the weather people disagree less...
..than those running for elections.
For example check out discussion on La Nina.
Just type in La Nina Forecasts.
This is what I found:
A "No-Show" that may "Bring Colder Weather"
Right. Seems a lot of uncertainty.
And if you think quirky weather only happens these days.
Let's go back to 1935.
The year famous for the Labor Day Hurricane.
A hurricane bound for the Carolinas turned South.
Then sort of SW then WSW towards Miami.
No I'm not talking about Hurricane Betsy.
But the Yankee Clipper Hurricane.
Started in the Atlantic.
Ended up in the Gulf of Mexico.
Took an odd track.
Growing up it was referred to as the Yankee Hurricane.
NHC SAYS 20% Still .. Low Chances But Possible. Hey Chicago Did Win the World Series Maybe Anything Is Possible .. Seasons Change At Starbucks. No More #PSL
Still 20% for the 5 Day for Tropical Formation of any kind.
Really isn't much to say other than there is a chance...
...as NHC covers it is something to show here.
Areas to watch posted on www.spaghettimodels.com
While it is rare it's easy to see how tropical energy oozes North.
Up into the Central Atlantic...
...way better than a Lava Lamp if you ask me ;)
So keep watching unless you are watching colored leaves falling.
Celebrating the big win last night in extra innings.
If so you may be a little sleepy this morning.
You didn't miss much.
Keep watching and I'll update later if needed.

Ps.. Worth reminding people to vote. My key in voting is to vote for the candidate I best believe can be President and that I can go home and go to sleep feeling I did the right thing. I do like to party but I have never been a "party girl" so I'm your typical Independent voter. I'm a bit too logical to follow the crowd or be told who I need to vote for... Sort of like ordering drink at Starbucks if I don't like the drink I'm not going to order it just because Starbucks put it on the menu and everyone else is posting pics of it online. If I don't I'll just go back to my regular Tall Soy Caramel Macchiato with an extra shot of espresso and sometimes only 1 shot of syrup. I know I'm complicated. Obviously. That said the new Peppermint and Hazelnut flavors are in stock. Seems that Starbucks has pulled the plug on Autumn and is moving full blast into HO HO HO Time ;)
