38 Days til Hurricane Season. Never Too Early To Prepare! Get Your Roof Fixed Before the May Monsoons Begin in South Florida!

Earth Zoom site above....

Windy site below for early May.

Mind you not really looking for development, but looking to see how much moisture gets left behind by the never ending series of fronts moving across the USA and dipping down deep leaving remnant moisture in the Caribbean. It only takes one to leave a convective area that may be ripe for some early tropical development! Obviously the Gulf of Mexico catches my attention as well as the Caribbean. What's also worth mentioning is that Florida barely had a "Dry Season" this year and as we edge deeper into May the Monsoon Season begins so if you need work done on your roof in South Florida, now is about the best time you can choose to try and get it down!  As always even in relatively wet years, fires in Florida are a thing to worry on whether they are set unintentionally by people or lightning strikes from wicked weather.

A good site to add to your files is this one that shows just where the fires are raging.

It's hot today in Raleigh, as in way up in the 80s yet later in the week the next front will traipse through and drop our temperatures delightfully back down where they belong. I grew up with hot weather most of the year, so excuse me if I enjoy "cool but sunny days" a little bit longer in North Carolina.

Just a reminder that Alex and Bonnie don't have to wait until June 1st to form. But for now it's too soon to tell. But...............it's never too soon to start preparing for the Hurricane Season. Be it Hurricane Insurance or beginning to stock up at the $1.25 cent store.......................... prices are only going up on items as inflation is all the rage, so if you see something on sale now that you might need add it to the cart item by item, day by day. If you want a generator, look for good sales. Because we are 38 days away from the start of Hurricane Season!

April 6th Cold Fronts Still A Thing. How Long Will This Pattern Last? Early Hurricane Season Development Occurs at the Tail End of Dying Cold Fronts. So It Matters...

Mike tweeted this earlier in the day and it's worth mentioning. Not because the temps will get cold a few more times in Florida, but because as we work our way through April we watch the parade of cold fronts and we note how far they go and where they slow down and hit a brick wall and slowly decay somewhere between Tampa and Miami or the Florida Keys. When we have a parade of late season cold fronts it ups the possibilities for something to form at the end of said, dead, decaying cold fronts that linger too long over warm tropical waters.

In a little over a month on May 15th the NHC will begin doing their Tropical Weather Outlooks.

Parade of fronts.

But before we move into Cane Season.

We are dealing with Tornado Season.
Yesterday's Supercell was deadly.
3 people died in Pembroke, Georgia.
Hook echo captured perfectly.

That's Mother Nature.
Stay prepared and informed.
With cold fronts moving into warm areas....
... this will continue through April!.

Start preparing for Hurricane Season!
