Ernesto Moving Towards Bermuda

Let's take a look at Bermuda.

Using webcams.

Bermuda definitely in the cross hairs.

Chasers flew in today.

Putting this here as it may be a before pic....

...and says a lot that iCylone went to Bermuda.

Eye or no eye this is playing out to be historic.

Rarely does Bermuda gets hit straight on.

As for Ernesto....

...why do they always try to pull it together.

2024 Hurricane Season

There's not much to say.

Bermuda knows hurricanes.

Usually they get side swiped.

But they have been hit dead on as well.

Elsewhere....

..we are getting closer to Prime Time.

This NOAA product promises action.

Models have been on the quiet side.

As the players take their places.

The props are put onto the stage.

The band is warming up.

And we wait.....

And we may wait a while.

Models aren't proming much action.

This is what is called a "back ended hurricane season" in that it gets busy later and often very busy late. You might say "hey it's just August and normally we get systems in late August going into September" and that would be correct. But this is the year that was forecast to be hyper busy, off the charts using up every name in the Alphabet that we use. So expectations are higher this year than they usually are and in truth every hurricane season has it's own rhyme and reason.

So we will wait and see what we will see. But as the sun begins to set in Bermuda, out in the Atlantic well East of our East Coast the hurricane is making it's move and we will see soon if the eye goes across Bermuda, or the eyewall slams into Bermuda or if they get strong weather but the eye passes them by. At this point, it would be surprising to see it miss and a miss can be as good as a mile. Either way Bermuda gets Hurricane Weather.
