Invest 97L - Mid Atlantic - Far Far Away - Yellow Circle. Will It Develop? African Waves Look Hot But Then They Are Not...

Remember when I said expect surprises?
This is a good example.

Note the bright red tropical wave by Africa.
Turns white upon hitting the water.
Invest 97L spins nice.

NRL site up and working.
Slicing and dicing 97L

Obviously 97L exists.

You can watch the process here.

Out there somewhere....
...where it can be Subtropical?
Elsewhere nothing much is happening.

Really just marking the spot to compare and contrast with a full update tomorrow to explain what 97L is and why it exists and what may happen with it. Typical in these sorts of years to have something appear suddenly out there.

Meanwhile catching up with being home and getting better from one of those nasty summer colds that go around in Miami. Now my husband has it so we basically are just laying low and drinking lots of tea back in Raleigh. That rhymed. Yes, that's the kind of mood i'm in.

Oh the Pacific is busy. I'm surprised NRL can keep up with all those Pacific systems.

Reminds me of a Jimmy Buffett song.
