TS Danielle Rains Itself Away.. Tropics Quiet. Rumors of a Carib Low & MJO in the Long Term. Nada Today
Danielle es no mas.
A single red X over Mexico
The Washington Post says it dissipated

State of the Tropics Tuesday Morning.....
The wave train from Africa still suppressed to the South.
ULL in Carib with some moisture wrapped inside
Large sinking High moving into the GOM
Atlantic gyre off East Coast pulling the chains
The clash of the weather systems moves North the next few days
Watch the loop above ....
...then see the graphics below.
The very stubborn GFS model keeps spinning up a weak low.
Another Caribbean Low
But will it spin?
This could develop and move N towards the GOM.
Or the BOC.
Or the GFS is sniffing out the MJO like it's a glue stick.
Could also be a problem for July 4th weekend...
We've been discussing the MJO now for a while.
Yup, that's what we do when there's no system to talk on..
Some people (jim) calls it mostly junk observations.
I like looking at all possible factors.
Usually it coincides with an upswing in action.
We shoot the tropical breeze.
Discuss models, mitigating factors ...
MJO - SAL + Warm Water - Shear
Mathematical discussions on long range models.
Nothing really happening
Weather people play a lot of games when it's slow.
Discussing new satellite imagery...
..new way better models.
MJO moving into our part of the world.
Nothing happening today in the tropics.
Just tropical games.

Great pic of the Strawberry Moon in NYC
We went out for Ice Cream.
You can guess which one is mine.
I sort of take Juliet's advice.
I don't swear by the light of the moon.
The inconstant moon.
Especially not a Strawberry moon.
