Interesting Loop of the Gulf of Mexico


Just a short post to mention that the flow across the Gulf has flipped. You know .. like the magnetic fields :) (sorry....) for days the blob in the GOM sent storms up to the NE... now the wave that wandered through Miami and the Keys last night & this morning is flaring up and moving towards the West. 

Upper Level Lows own the landscape or I'd be worried. But, I thought it was worthy of note that such a flip took place.


The wind this morning in Key West was 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. That's a tough little system. 

How much can change in just a few days in the tropics. Another wave is entering the shear zone of the Caribbean to the south. 

Read this morning's post, it says more and yes loving being down in Key West this week...

Ps... Part of that westward movement is the large Atlantic High Pressure...shoving everything West...
