Tropical Storm Sandy 3/4 of the Way to a Hurricane @11 AM
Nothing really new to add here. Hurricane Hunters found her a bit stronger and trying to pull it together. Models still take her to Hurricane Force down the road. The road goes directly through Jamaica where a Hurricane Warning is in effect.
An ULL to the NW of Sandy is doing a push me/pull me job on her. On one hand it is helping to ventilate her aka "blow her up" at the same time it inhibits Sandy's ability to totally wrap on the NW side. This is not mentioned anywhere in the NHC discussion as they are focusing on the battle of the models.
You can see the feature on the WV Loop below as it digs down into Sandy on the NW side. It will also down the road try to lift her for a hand off later to the cold front that is dipping down or will dip down. otherwise... still waiting for Sandy to complete the circle and achieve hurricane status.
Jamaica directly in her cross hairs.
There is a link to live radio below and a lot of information.

Lastly, read again what I said in my previous post on Sandy doing the Tango, as it is as relevant now as it was earlier this morning.
