Thursday Icon in love with the Gulf

On any given day.... 

...it's stuck on the Gulf.

There's not much to say today. Trying to enjoy my "cool" day in Raleigh where the dew points are lower and it's supposedly not gonna hit 90. Trying to write while the One Harbour song is playing on YouTube. Given up fighting with it; it is a good song. Anyway..........

Models don't show any significant development. I'm still watching X94L as it's remnants may get somewhere and flare up. Despite all the talk on the waves behind it, they have yet to get any real model support and lack that element of spin 94L showed. You can't just have a bunch of rain you need spin.

I'll be honest. I don't really trust the models much this season so far as they have been off many times. The GFS is playing it coy, the ICON is stuck on the Gulf wanting to get iCyclone's attention perhaps. EURO is the EURO. It's hot and dry and the High is not relenting yet on it's reign of the Atlantic Ocean. Waves come off Africa. EPAC is quiet. A front is draped across Florida an illusion of clouds and nothing more. The ULL is the only show in town if you want to watch spin.

When I say I'm watching x94L

I'll stop watching when it's gone, gone, gone.

Truth is most likely if the tropics are really dead for now, watch close in as that's where you can always put your money on but what spins up isn't very classy looking and yet could cause flooding or tornadoes or maybe actually a Tropical Storm Force wind gust!

I'm really not in love with the models. The models that delivered periods for the MJO that didn't show.
