Westward Waves Looking Good - NWS Tells PR to Pay Attention!

Four areas of weather all being watched and none want to claim the name Ana?

This is beginning to feel like a bad episode of Smallville, where Clark just stares endlessly at Lana and yet you just know he is not going to run out after her and tell her how much he loves her, he is just going to sit there and stare and watch her...

And, that is what we have been doing for the last several days now as ex-TD 2 cruises slowly westward with Lex Luther aka Bill crusing along after her.

I mean... is there kryptnonite in the Atlantic Ocean this year keeping our waves weak and unable to convect and spin up? Do you know what happens when energy from the tropics is not moved out around the planet towards the poles? Oh my goodness...it could get soooo ugly :( Crazy...really. Crazy weather this hurricane season. We have waves that cannot convect, leaves turning colors in North Carolina and flash floods in places that don't usually have flash floods... Strange, very strange weather for summer... strange for hurricane season... nice song...lost in songs, I am tracking songs not named storms... Strange for August..

What is in a name? Lana, Lois... either way Clark has massive issues and so does this wave... both waves and the problem is SAL (saharan dust) that is cruising along with the wave like a sea of kryptonite. No, not playing THAT song...just saying this has become an exercise in futility, not even paying close attention to TWC.. looked up a little while ago and saw a friend...thought wow what is he talking about??? It couldn't be a NAMED STORM.. lol.

So, I sit here in my nice little bedroom in my nice little bed in my house in Raleigh, North Carolina.. pronounced btw.. RAHLEEEEEEEEE and watch old videos on youtube and unpack books on F. Scott Fitzgerald, Astrology, Miami, Tarot, Hurricanes, Key West <3 and Literature and Writing and a few odd books written by Comedy Writers lol and a comedy writer, scratch that... ONE WRITER... and the L'Occitane Teddy Bear from my favorite L'Occitane on Lincoln Road stares back at me quizzically and Zelda stares back at me and I stare at the waves... won't one of them stand up and take the honor of the 1st Tropical Storm of the Season?

Truth is... National Weather Service out of San Juan has put PR on notice that the wave that was once known as TD 2 might make an appearance in that are and affect their weather! NWS in San Juan is..by the way... excellent at protecting it's island population and that is worth a note here...

Going to post their discussion and take it for what it's worth and this is my point.. IF the waves stay weak they will keep moving west, when they hit around 50 w .. 55 for sure they will hit warm water about 84 degrees and less dry air and they will be in a better position to intensify..a word they don't seem to understand the meaning of this season.. and small storms can intensify faster than big ones but big ones catch all the attention. So.. keep watching... Because one of these circles of many colors on the NHC map WILL become Ana and quite possibly BILL.

EXCELLENT WEEKEND TO GO OVER YOUR HURRICANE DISASTER PLAN AS
ATMOSPHERE IS EXPECTED TO BE DRY AND STABLE. SHOWER ACTIVITY IS
EXPECTED TO BE VERY MINIMAL DURING THE ENTIRE WEEKEND.

CONVECTION ASSOCIATED WITH TD2 IS ATTEMPTING A COMEBACK AROUND
THE REMNANT LOW PRES. NHC/HPC NOON COORDINATION CALL KEEPS THIS
SYSTEM MOVING JUST NORTH OF THE AREA ON MONDAY AS A OPEN WAVE.
HOWEVER...THERE IS LITTLE SKILL IN PREDICTING STORM STRUCTURE
THREE DAYS IN ADVANCE AND SYSTEMS THIS SMALL ARE SUBJECT TO RAPID
FLUCTUATIONS IN INTENSITY EITHER UP OR DOWN. WITH THIS IN MIND WE
SHOULD ALL KEEP A CLOSE EYE FOR ANY UNEXPECTED DEVELOPMENT. TPW
IMAGERY SHOWS PWATS AROUND 2.6 INCHES OR AROUND 145% OF NORMAL IN
THAT AREA. IF THE SYSTEM IS ABLE TO MAINTAIN ITS CONVECTION OVR
THE WEEKEND IT COULD PRESENT SOME PROBLEMS TO PR AND THE USVI.

NEXT AREA OF LOW PRES IS A COUPLE OF HUNDRED MILES WSW OF THE CAPE
VERDE ISLANDS. MICROWAVE AND CONVENTIONAL SATELLITE IMAGERY SHOWS
THAT THE SYSTEM IS BEING SHEARED WITH THE CENTER TO THE EAST OF
THE CONVECTION. VIS IMAGERY ALSO SHOWS SAHARAN AIR BEING SUCKED
INTO THE CIRCULATION WHICH IS RETARDING ITS DEVELOPMENT. GLOBAL
MODELS CONTINUE TO LIKE THIS STORM FOR FURTHER DEVELOPMENT AND NHC
IS GIVING IT A HIGH CHANCE OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE IN THE
NEXT 48 HRS. GFS MODEL HAS BEEN REMARKABLY CONSISTENT OVER THE
LAST THREE DAYS TAKING THIS SYSTEM OVR PUERTO RICO ON THU. 12Z
GFDL HAS SHIFTED ITS TRACK ABT 2 DEGS SOUTH FROM ITS PREVIOUS RUN
AND IS ALSO FASTER BRINGING IT IN LINE WITH THE GFS. 12Z NOGAPS
AND CMC GLOBAL HAVE ALSO SHIFTED TO THE LEFT CLOSER TO PR AND THE
NEW 12Z ECWMF ALTHOUGH IS STILL SHOWS RECURVATURE HAS TRENDED TO
LEFT TOO. EVEN THOUGH THE MODELS HAVE BEEN CONSISTENT ON A TRACK
CLOSE TO PR...USERS ARE REMINDED THAT TRACK FCSTS SIX DAYS OUT
ARE SUBJECT TO LARGE ERRORS. TYPICAL ERRORS THIS FAR OUT ARE IN
THE ORDER OF 350 NM. UNTIL THIS SYSTEM GETS A LOW LVL CENTER WELL
ESTABLISHED DO NOT EXPECT THE MODELS TO GET A GOOD HANDLE ON IT.

RESIDENTS OF PR AND THE USVI ARE ENCOURAGED TO MONITOR LATEST
FORECASTS FROM THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER OVER THE WEEKEND AND
GO OVER THEIR HURRICANE DISASTER PLANS IN CASE THE THREAT FROM
THESE TWO TROPICAL SYSTEMS BECOMES MORE REAL.

And, stick with www.stormcarib.com for good updates on Carib weather because if these waves develop late they will get far enough west for the Carib to worry on them. IF they develop sooner, the bigger one ...would be further north and more of an East Coast event. If the one near the coast of Cuba intensifies in the Gulf..will be a Gulf Storm lol duh.. and that Wild Card close in... you never know.

Here's a song from one of my favorite singers who I remember from back when I was at the FLICK in the Grove before he became famous and we were just having a fun, romantic night out in Miami... cruising down US 1 with the palm trees illuminiated by the full moon and plenty of places to stop and get a late night dinner.. wow..Miami back when, was incredible.. Still is...always will be..

As for me... am going off for Shabbos and am expecting ANA here when Shabbos is over... or.. I may seriously need help at the Neil Frank Home For the Tropically Insane :) and hope to twitter or tweet on Ana...though more worried on Bill..

Love and Kisses from Bobbi up in the Carolinas... going to take a long walk tonight in the moonlight... if there's a moon, wouldn't know cause all I do is watch waves and unpack books and maps and CDs from my crazy music man... sigh lol.. music for the muse, keeping me well fed over the years musically speaking..

And..oh come on you knew I would post it... hey if you knew Clark like I knew Clark, you'd know what it's like to have him stare at you that way...

As long as you'll be my friend at the end...
