There is more to Beryl than landfall...

This is where we are today, right now, this minute at 9:17 AM while I try to think what else to say about Beryl that I have not already said. IF there's a way, Beryl will find it ...despite having too much dry air nearby and battling wind shear. Close to the coast is where many a Gulf of Mexico, Texas Tropical Storm did it's best at intensifying for it's landfall selfie! True nuff....

History often repeats and Beryl usually finds a way at the last minute to spruce up for landfall. The NHC that I respect greatly, doing a good job this year especially, forecasts a hurricane and I'll be surprised if we don't have a hurricane making landfall. Then again, Beryl does surprise so what else could it do that would be totally a surprise?

I'll be back after the 11 AM advisory package from the NHC. Do not concentrate on the center as winds will be in a very small area, however rainfall will be across a wide area. We have had one too many dam failures this year and after listening to Thor's awesome, informative and fun video this morning I checked into it and yes there is a problem with the Livingston Dam in Texas. In the past Beryl is connected to worst case scenarios and this would definitely be one of them, as copious amounts of tropical rain as seen below on the MIMIC that tracks precipital water Vapor confirms that despite the "weakness" of Beryl currently, it will have a strong punch rain wise.
