October is Like Watching Paint Dry Until... Tropics GO BOO! Wilma Michael Sandy All October Hurricanes. Lorenzo Doing Europe... Watching GOM ... Needs Time Like a Good Gumbo Does ;)

Isn't it amazing.
As we start the Hurricane Season....
...we tend to end the Hurricane Season.
Well except for random Grace/Perfect Storms...
...or odd November oddities.
Our attention goes back to the Caribbean, GOM and BOC.

I do believe something is down the road.
But we aren't there yet.
It's like a long, slow drive across Texas.
Takes a while to form .... to see El Paso.
If you have ever done the drive you understand.

The truth is never laugh off October as it usually can bring the biggest surprise of the year, yet watching it form is worse than watching paint dry. Sometimes I use Sally Hansen nail polish just because it dries faster (and the gold glitter is fun) because I was in some ways born in a New York minute even though I'm a Southern girl and again actually a Conch as my family lived in and was naturalized in Key West where they became officially Key West citizens somewhere in the 1880s. I'm sorry but in a mood obviously and I do miss Key West, may have to stop in next trip to Florida just keep those hurricanes away because oh snap... we come back to October as Wilma visited and tried to crash Fantasy Fest didn't she? Never ignore October potential for tropical madness. Check Miss Wilma out if you forgot her https://www.weather.gov/key/wilma in case you forgot. Never forget to remember October can bring hurricanes like Wilma.

And that's pretty much the story in the tropics TODAY in the tropical Atlantic but there are subplots going on that are being written and rewritten by the models who keep leaving cyclonic characters they created on the cutting room floor only to be rewritten back in on later runs; no runs are logical nor plausible as in we aren't there yet.

So where are we today? We are enjoying what we've got while we've got it because at some point we won't have it. For some of us winter is waiting in the wings and for others tropical rain of some kind is coming...or threatening to come as other storms this year have threatened but not delivered unless you live in the Bahamas or Bermuda. Strange year, it's as if there was hurricane insurance and the British players refused to pay it. Reminds me of some old gangster movie where someone keeps getting their store front window broken by a brick over and over until they pay up. That's a sick joke and I'm not intimating just saying it's weird. So far Belize and Jamaica have been safe, hope that lasts. British and crew are not having an easy Hurricane Season.

So let's look at Lorenzo. It's up there on the other side of the Atlantic. Never liked the West Atlantic and stayed on it's side of the ocean and bringing weather to Europe. Heavy, huge amounts of rain and strong winds and crazy waves along the coast probably. I know most people in Florida and Texas don't care unless they are into Ireland or England but it's a very impressive signature.

So while wondering on what you would like to see in your Halloween Grab Bag with all the Candy Maps online.... know sometimes the Atlantic does a SURPRISE this time of year as we move deeper into October, and remember while it's hot and steamy in the SE it's colder than usual in the NW and what goes around comes around.  I tweeted this the other day about Ireland and storms.... I saw a movie when young and was blown away by the stormy opening scenes as I guess I didn't know much about storms and Ireland but after that movie I knew they probably get crazy storms and Lorenzo will leave his mark on someone there I'm sure.

Besos BobbiStorm @bobbistorm on Twitter and Instagram, follow me there for updates on weather and who knows what else as sometimes I'll surprise you... especially as we get deeper into October.

Ps... oh right the song... hmnnn song of the day...  should make someone here laugh or at least chuckle. Just remember that was a November storm...  and Hurricane Season ain't over til November 30th!

And
