Atlantic is Quiet, Pacific is Hot and Seattle is Sunny & Beautiful. Amazon Fire is HOT

A tale of two tropics.
Eastern Pacific and the Atlantic Ocean. Which one is busy...which one is not...
On my cell phone they were side by side when I went to the NHC Page on my Facebook. But, you get the idea..

This is actually very within the realm of "normal" as the saying goes "June too soon" not "June a boom"

You do immediately notice a wave moving towards the Caribbean.. a tropical wave.

As it approaches it looks hot to trot..

After the strong winds that blow across that region also known as "the graveyard of tropical storms" it looks like this..

Note the energy oozes a bit to the north blown there by strong shear...
The first image I call YES
The second image I call NO

Tells the whole story...

The Tropical Weather Discussion goes into the details. You know the devil is always in the details, which is why sometimes "Longreads" are good...

"A CARIBBEAN SEA AND CENTRAL AMERICA TROPICAL WAVE IS ALONG
86W/87W FROM 17N SOUTHWARD...ACROSS HONDURAS AND NICARAGUA...
MOVING WESTWARD 10 KNOTS DURING THE LAST 24 HOURS. CONVECTIVE
PRECIPITATION... NUMEROUS STRONG IS MOVING AWAY FROM EL
SALVADOR...SOUTHWARD INTO THE EASTERN PACIFIC OCEAN. THE MONSOON
TROUGH IS ALONG 9N/10N BETWEEN 74W AND 84W...INTO THE EASTERN
PACIFIC OCEAN. CONVECTIVE PRECIPITATION...SCATTERED STRONG FOR
THE MONSOON TROUGH FROM 7N TO 11N BETWEEN 76W IN COLOMBIA AND
84W IN COSTA RICA. RAINSHOWERS ARE POSSIBLE ELSEWHERE FROM 16N
SOUTHWARD FROM 76W WESTWARD."

My weather in Seattle this morning is:

And, everyone is talking about the new Amazon Fire Phone...  people walking about the street wearing tee shirts that read "I created FIRE" which is cute.. and true. Someone let me take a pic of their tee shirt.. no I don't have one.  We drove to see a friend's house who lives near Redmond and I felt almost disloyal. I went from  Amazon Land in the South Union Lake area to Microsoft Land. Her husband works for Microsoft, she works for Boeing. Seattle is a busy, smart, techie world. Eco friendly too..

It's not Kansas or Miami or Raleigh... really is very Northwest almost Canada like to me..

Not very tropical but oh so wonderful....
Love it here.. just love it. Look they even have magnolias...

So... as there are no storms in the Atlantic Basin other than "afternoon pop up showers" I'm going out and about...shopping.. The sun came out and it's bright and light and right and just smiling. I'll be back later.

Til then ...
Sweet Tropical Dreams..
