NADA.... Nothing... ZERO ... Going On In the Tropics

Nada...nothing...zero going on in the tropics. Well..nothing of a meteorological dangerous nature ...

Visible Water Vapor - GOES East 12 hr Loop

There are many beautiful tropical things going on...

Like beautiful flowers ...

Hours spent enjoying the sunrise and the sunset...

Rent a room in a bed and breakfast anywhere from Galveston to Key West to the Outer Banks...

Find a beach...sit a spell...sip a drink... take a deep breath and give thanks...

Enjoy the ride ... this is the Overseas Highway...the most beautiful road in the world ;)

Or stop along the way in the Middle Keys....take in dinner by the Bay on the Gulf Side adn watch the sunset ... get a room... stay the night...

And then............in the morning...........you can do watch the sunrise... do some writing... thinking...
The point here is to enjoy... because it doesn't stay quiet very long in the tropics...
Enjoy your moment in the sun...

Because................in a week or two...or three... it can all be blown away..
Some cities get hit often back to back, others go ten years or more or maybe 27 years like Miami did between Hurricane Betsy and Hurricane Andrew.. but you take the good and the bad when you live in the tropics. So...today is your day to enjoy... at some in this 2013 Atlantic Hurricane Season the US's several years without a direct hit is going to be blown away. Many site 8 years though that seems too long.. perhaps for a hurricane not a tropical storm. I know there have been tropical storms...

The high is in place... there are troughs dipping down and yet not going briskly out to sea.

A front pulls the storm towards it and then when the front cruises East off the Carolinas the hurricane recurves safely away.. maybe skirts by Bermuda... but it goes away.

This scenario of a blocking hot, troughs that make it only so far and a high that pulses back and forth and other factors call for a hit somewhere..if not multiple hits along the coast. And.. then... it all gets blown away...   so enjoy today!

Ps... After Andrew on Miami Beach... that big root ball was all that remained of several massive Ficus trees
Homestead lost more than trees and roof tiles and a few broken windows...
Wrong storm... same old story...
