2 Yellow Circles in the Carib - Tropics in Transition (Dr. T. J. Eckleburg's Eyes???)

The NHC has two yellow circles in the Caribbean that both have a ZERO chance of developing.

I'm sorry... I have a degree in English... (I know..hard to believe ...right??) ...so my mind immediately laughed and I had the urge to draw a yellow line across the two as they reminded me of the eyes of Dr. T. J. Eckleburg from the Great Gatsby...  Just the way my mind works. I also have a degree in International Relations and specialized in linkage..  (having fun here on a Saturday Night ya know???)

I was not making this up you see? But, we are doing meteorology which is math, not English so let's get back to the tropics!

Zero + Zero = Zero.

And, yet... not really, because tracking the tropics right now is about watching trends and it's clear to see the tropics are in transition

Tropical waves are wetting up the environment and moving their moisture into the Caribbean and over parts of the Atlantic.

That last wave in the Western Atlantic made it intact the whole way from Africa. The North end of it is also lifting up into the Atlantic. And, tropical moisture is funneling it's way towards South Florida and up into the Carolinas. The meteorological fireworks last night in Raleigh were wild.. crazy lightning storm. Today Myrtle Beach may have had a tornado. The NWS is checking out the damage and considering the situation.

And, another wave has departed Africa. They come off Africa...they fizzle...they blow up again...they fizzle... but they remain intact not losing their moisture pocket and that is noteworthy.

Why you ask?

Because fronts are still dipping down and at some point, possibly when the MJO moves into the Caribbean and the Atlantic completely, there is a chance that the tropical waves will pull more to the North.. WNW... NW and ultimately north towards the frontal boundaries and when that happens Florida and the Southeast Coast could possibly be in play for a busy hurricane season.

Upper Level Winds need to die down...they do that as July turns to August and sometimes earlier in July and before July 20th. I'd think the last week of July and even the third week in July could be notable for tropical activity. Don't quote me I'm not the Farmer's Almanac, but I may go to the Farmer's Market tomorrow :)

But, for now, Tropical Depression 4E just formed in the Pacific and that will keep the Atlantic side on hold for a week to ten days.  It goes without saying that NOW is the time to PREPARE... check off those lists and make sure you are ready for the Atlantic Hurricane Season, because when the MJO moves East what it brought to the EPAC will be in the Atlantic and it will be Prime Time and no longer June.

Oh... Myami...or I should say Zalmy'AMI as my son loves that city about as much as I do. And, I partied at the Fountainbleau...and now he is continuing the tradition...

In Miami Beach right now despite the heat and humidty it's a beautiful night for all the beautiful kids on Miami Beach who think that the Fountainbleau is their own private beachfront shopping mall. My youngest son is there tonight having fun, he was at the Clevelander on Friday afternoon when he got to see Miley Cyrus up close and personal. Not posting that picture... but he did. He posted this one tonight from the Ultimate Pool Party that I Heart Radio is running... as they did last year... as they did last year when he was there too. Seems to be a tradition forming here....   It's a great life.. I can do my own thing or stalk my kids online on Facebook and Instagram..   "sweet" as he says......

So, this is a good weekend to hang out, makes lists for things you may need in case you are visited by a tropical cyclone later this summer. Plan a pool party, go to the beach, stay inside in the AC and watch old movies or go do anything your heart desires within reason...

It's gonna get busy sooner than you think............

Sweet Tropical Dreams

Ps...over the river and through the woods in my old neck of the woods growing up was the path to the Fountainbleau, though personally I love the Eden Roc too! At least they have a nicer beach now...  :)

Today................always finding new ways to have fun... enjoy the fun and the sun today.. while you can :)
