Miami to Key West.. Prepare for TS possibly Hurricane Force Winds
It's hard to really see this picture but most of South Florida from Miami to the Keys are ALL in a Tropical Storm Watch that can and probably will be upgraded to Hurricane Watch down the road.
Here's a loop:
The Navy has updated their chart and the chart is drastically different from the NHC chart which will probably also change reflecting the new data that the Navy has used to update their map.
It is VERY possible that IF Isaac is indeed moving to the NW ... he may follow ... no he most likely will follow this track. You can almost always bank on the Navy Map.
It should update below in real time..
We have a developing storm that is transitioning from a messy storm to what may become a Hurricane by some time later this evening... early tomorrow.
Isaac may take the easy route through the Mona Passage and up along the Old Bahama Channel towards the Florida Keys and very possibly he may make a move towards Miami.. .South Dade, Key Largo. This is a possibility... very similar to Hurricane Cleo in 1964. Only time will tell but this is 2012 and this is Isaac.
Miami is currently dealing with stray random showers so strong that my brother in North Miami Beach just lost power.
Pay attention and err on the side of caution.
It may miss Miami by miles... and Key West or split the difference somewhere around Marathon. Either way... Miami will be on the NE side of the storm IF he goes through the Keys and there will be plenty of weather.
Keep watching... sounds too Andrew like to say... we will know more tomorrow. A very similar timing in odd ways ... going into the weekend and not being sure if we will or won't get the storm.
Stay safe and I'll be back after Shabbos ... Saturday night after Sundown. Yeah, I do my thing even when hurricanes are threatening.
