Hurricane Paloma Heads Towards the Cayman Islands

A picture may be worth a thousand words but a loop is worth ten thousand.

Loop this and you will see the real beauty of Paloma.

She's pumping, spinning and seems to have a plan.

There are some model's still diverging but for the most part they are in agreement and the track seems set. The Nogaps looks a little funkier than the funktop picture above but it shows a weak storm meandering about. Paloma was also relocated a bit to the east which pulls the models to the right (east) and keeps them on the more eastern/southern solution from this morning's wider cone. Still, if anything changes South Florida would have to worry more on Paloma rather than watching her from a distance.

Fronts are moving across the US and digging down and Paloma should be shunted off to the east.. stay tuned as nothing is set in stone, sand maybe but not stone.

Pretty loop to watch.. and leave on your computer, better than any screen saver I've seen out there.

I was at the beach today. I took a long lunch as I was working late and walked over to the beach (a block away) and walked for a while, snapped some pics and just enjoyed the beauty and the breeze. Noticed strange clouds high up moving sort of fast, changing shape. IF you look at the loop above you'll see they were probably from the clouds spinning off the top of Paloma. Then to the west low clouds typical of Miami began to form.. more typical clouds.

Not sure but either way beautiful day at the beach. I'll post it for those of you up north beginning to deal with coats and sweaters and cold weather.

As for Paloma..nothing is set in stone but she will most likely slide NE much like Lili did back in 1996, a similar storm just a week or so earlier. Keep watching, but don't expect her to make it all the way to England ;)

Going to go watch Paloma spin, listen to the news and hear the spin on Obama's possible cabinet and figure out what I am going to cook for Shabbos.

Enjoy the pics... and know Miami Beach is just a Jet Blue or Southwest ticket away ;) And.. Paloma should stay a safe distance away...

funky clouds high clouds...

beautiful patterns painted across the sky...

beautiful people on vacation and having fun on South Beach..

Miami Beach glistening in the sunshine... beautiful day at the beach...Sunbathing and watching the waves..

Until the wave comes in...

Sweet Tropical Miami Vice Dreams.. Bobbi ;) (great song.. lol, shaking head)
