First bands arrive in Miami.. gusting to 50mph

We had one wild band race through here earlier. Trees bent over, mangoes fell off of trees and the winds were clocked at 50 mph gusts.

Sort of good. Wakes everyone up and makes them think twice.

It's all a matter of perspective. If this was June 1st everyone in Miami would be hysterical about having a Tropical Storm Warning but since there is a big cane down there we think "its only a tropical storm."

Those bands wake everyone up to the reality of what could happen if a bad, band gets you.

Going to do somethings for Shabbos. Watch TV. Watch the rain and wind outside.

Worried a bit about friends in Key West who stayed but am sure they will be okay. The storm "should" pass West of there by just enough to give them some good, wild weathe rbut be safe. Yeah, yeah.. "should" a word that Yaffah doesn't like. Oh well, she ain't here now.. can say whatever I want :)

Seriously... this gave Cuba a bad ride and imagine damage reports will be hard to believe. Can't imagine they got "lucky" this time.

As for the Keys.. time will tell.

Beyond that?

Upper Level Lows dance in the Gulf and some models don't iniatilize well and somethings mother nature goes bump in the night. Hoping Dennis doesn't try dancing on Duval Street.

Watch and wait...the story of life in the tropics in the hurricane season.

Had a cherry coke today when I was worrying a bit on how close it would come to close to Key West and ... well if Reverand Ron is out there somewhere he knows me enough to know... I want him to pray. Want everyone to pray.

Prayer is non-denominational. My best friend Sharon says that. :)
