Tropical Moisture on the Menu for SFL ... Next Week It Tries to ReAdjust North Towards GOM IF Models Verify vs NE ...Heavy Rains in Carib Islands ... GFS Daily Specials vs EURO Regular Summer Menu
Nothing expected in next 7 days as of 2 PM Friday
As per NHC
Models hinting at something next week - maybe
Here's a video you can watch.....
Impulsive "lets do it" video
...but please keep reading!
Rain in South Florida.
Unorganized, messy Summer Rain.
Lil cool front to the North.
Phil says it best here.
Elongated area of Low Pressuer.
Maybe next week it tries to pull North more.
Either way in FL it'll be rain on the menu.
Daily Special
Heavy rain with lightning.
In the Islands more dangerous rain.
Also the Islands have elevation
elevation + rain = flooding
flooding that runs down the mtn.
vs light street flooding in regular areas in SFL
(if it rains heavier than normal rain)
You can see the moisture surge that pulses on and off like a neon light advertising drinks at happy hour, it doesn't really move in the short term though after a series of changes up stream in the atmosphere next week there is a window for it to aim North vs NE as you see above. Everything flowing from SW to NE ... but if models are correct that will change and there will be an invitation sent out for it to come and sample Gulf of Mexico beaches; from Florida to Louisiana people will be watching it and if it surges towards Mississippi iCyclone can test out his equiptment to see what beautiful weather feeds it will provide. IF the GFS is right, it'll try to close off a Low but it could be a messy one to insure everyone gets a bit of tropical misery rain wise without any real there ..there. I'm sure the GFS will get back to slamming some city in the GOM with a real hurricane again, currently it's messy. The EURO sees the same moisture feed North which is a CHANGE in the pattern vs NE out to sea. So it'll be most interesting to see if this moist feed from the tropics does in fact change direction towards the North or NNE or NW if it keeps having dreams of Texas.
Have a great weekend. Oh, wait the WAVE... check out that Tropical Wave off of Africa and note the remnants of the old one are semi intact headed towards the Caribbean as all waves head this time of year.
We are a week or so away from a SHIFT in the pattern and that SHIFT may redirect the moisture and we will be closer, day by day, week by week to the heart of the 2024 hurricane season and think it's got a hot core and a cold heart.
That's it, will fix any typos in a little while need a shower as something's bothering my eyes allergy wise which is par for the course in summer ... not proofing, might add something in later. Love ya all for following along......

Ps ...As for Miami ...Tampa and the Florida Keys... it's just gonna be hot, excessively hot and rainy because it's June and it only gets worse in August. Mike knows. I know. Every Floridian knows. In my case, one reason I stay in the Carolinas with constant trips back to touch "home base" wherever that is but it's somewhere between Pawley's Island and Key West.... even on a hotel day the beach in the Carolinas is cool in the mornin' and I like it that way!!
Good medley....
...to cover all the cities the GFS will take aim at.
Over the next week :)
