93L intensifying along great Florida coast.. Julia may form close in

NHC has raised 93L to orange 40% however there has been talk of an upgrade.

Satellite imagery along with radar and ground observations make a compelling case for iniation of advisories.

As 93L is not trekking across Florida but parallel to the coast in a spot where the coast bends NNW it could stay over water for some time.  Steering currents become weak and localized flooding could become a problem.

It would be beneficial to upgrade, and put out coherent advisories and review how the models missed this later.

Either way a tropical system is forming over the  Florida coastline with most of the convection over a hot part of the Gulfstream.

I'll do a regular update later today.  On the road southbound somewhere in South  Carolina.

Please check with your local NWS if u live near or in the path of intensifying Invest 93L.
