65 MPH Hermine Strengthening. Showing Signs of Possibly Wrapping More. Track, Discussion, NHC Surge Forecast New Product

Those are the facts.
Compare and contrast them at 11 AM.

NRL map grid.
Good grid covers a wider area of concern that NHC.
NHC cone show further down in this post.

You know that saying about the Navy?
"all their ships at sea"
Or something like that?
They watch their ships and ports of call.

Important part of the Discussion from NHC
Leaves door open for Hurricane Hermine.
Talks on down the road steering currents.

Good loop:

Showing this to show you  to see how this storm leans right.
That may be changing as it's strengthening

Hard to tell if it's bulging more NNE or wrapping moisture.
This is the territory the NHC said it had a chance to develop.
A shot at becoming a hurricane.

Our crystal ball looking into the storm.
Showing us the future

All this moisture IS right of center.
What does it matter if you are getting the weather.. right?
Dry air reaching down scooping it up a bit.
And possible filling out more on the North side of center.

Let's go wide:

jsl-animated.gif (720×480)

This loop allows you to see the air moving down from the Poles.
Top center see the air coming down.
Look directly below and you will see Hermine leaning towards it.

Understand all these loops highlight different things for us

See the wide arrow moving down, pressing down.
Note the storm caught in the flow.

Before........After

Always popular Ginger Zee
Good image of where we are today.. now.

So where's it going to go?

That's the cone ...will be updated at 11 AM

Not going to show models as models are within that cone.
That is how they come up with the cone.
They try and cover the reliable models.

IF the storm changes direction a bit.
The NHC will move the cone back and forth.
Soooooooo no Cone is set in stone.
Each cone can be different or the same.
Every six hours go to NHC

Check the cone for changes.

I'm here trying to explain the why...
NHC gives the facts.

New storm surge graphics.
New this season.
Great product from the NHC.

Check back later today I'll be updating in real time.

http://www.weather.gov/

A lot of watches and warnings up..
HUGE concern on tornadoes.
And tornadoes coming in at night.
Tornadoes wrapped in rain hard to see.
So keep watching in real time.
You can check with me @bobbistorm on Twitter
I'm there if I am not sleeping...

Will discuss later today problems for up the road.

Great track and App

BobbiStorm's Bottom Line:

Really concerned if this stalls.
Where it stalls?
If it stalls off shore ...
...off OBX
Or East of Del Marva ... okay.
IF it tracks a bit west anywhere.
It could set up for strong inland flooding.
Not an immediate concern.
But I'm concerned.
