Tropical Waves Over Africa... Tropical Waves Over Florida.

Short discussion this morning on the state of the tropics in the Atlantic. There's not a lot going on.
Just the basic dry July, activity in the Epac and not much to talk about in the Atlantic. Just as that tropical wave over Miami got there from somewhere else... so will more tropical waves. The huge high sets up this sort of flow in place that can possibly be dangerous later in August and September.

There is a tropical wave around Florida kicking up some storms.
But storms in the summer in Florida are par for the course.

Big storms over Miami last night.

You can watch Phil's video.
Keep in mind the loop above when you do.

These are the waves that are moving West.
Caught in the flow around the huge High.

Think of them as "areas of interest"
Or perhaps interesting waves.

This is the time of year we wait.
Things begin to slowly shift.
We move towards the meat of the season.
Think of this as a July cleanse.

Below you can see five waves over Africa.
Not great waves but nicely spaced.
The spacing out of waves is important.
Too close together they tend to eat each other.
They ooze and collide together.
It's not pretty.
What you want is nicely spaced impulses known as..
Tropical Waves.

So get your plans in place now.
While the tropics give you this chance to do so.
Because one way or another...
Somewhere...
Somehow...
They will find a way to find you.

Seriously.
Mother Nature always finds a way.
Whether it's a Betsy forming in August.
Or a Sandy coming for Halloween.
