This is a big problem because of Sandy. If not for Sandy it would be a big question mark on how early Winter is going to start this year. If not for Sandy it would be a chance to try on your new boots, coats, hats, etc and pretend it's December.
How will this storm play out? A good discussion is posted here:

Additionally... regarding the Election.. this storm will develop down to the south and move north.
It may affect the weather in Atlanta and the surrounding area.

You know those people who are not in love with either candidate, had a long day, have a cold or just are
looking for any excuse not to vote and make that big decision. A sort of passive aggressive "well I was gonna go vote but...." may affect the vote there. Maybe not...but the possibility of weather affecting the weather on Election Day as this Winter storm revs up...is there.
There is also a sliver of a chance that the mountains north of Atlanta could get some snow flakes.. a bit of a kiss from Mother Nature, a reminder that winter is on it's way.
Savannah also has a rainy election day:

Another place that could be affected is Jacksonville, which could affect the Florida turnout as Jax usually votes different than Tampa and Miami.
