Hurricane Sandy Making Landfall on Southern Tip of NJ



Note the strong weather is on her SE side spreading across Delaware and Maryland.

Snow is spreading into NC, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

That link for Atlantic City is big... seems good parts of the Boardwalk are gone...



And, as I mentioned earlier...if Casinos are badly damaged...that badly damages the local economy in NJ and it will have larger ramifications later when the bills come due ...


This is the area being affected by Hurricane Sandy... immediately affected

Going in closer this is the area where Sandy is currently making landfall

Many people did NOT leave as they really felt the storm would come in far to the North
NYC... 
However... 
Storms do what storms do in real time...they are hard to predict

It's a developing situation as they are trying to rescue people whose homes are now under water.




Yet, people need help across so many states it stresses the resources tremendously:

More than 1.5 Million customers are without power SO FAR...

Atlantic City Boardwalk severely damaged.. 
Piers.
Ships.
Homes.
Trees down everywhere.
Travel Haulted.

And, the list goes on and on..

So far this storm has the lowest barometric pressure ever seen in the Mid Atlantic.

So far my kids have power.. hope it lasts.  
3 of my sons are playing RISK online on a Google Hangout. If NY loses power, Iowa takes over the world................   got to love my kids.
