Miami, Friday Afternoon Publix Low on Water

Fast post before I light shabbos candles and take a rest.

Went to Publix with Sharon and bought some water and another sterno thingie. Some bleach and eggs to boil up.

Really think if Ike is a Keys storm.. ala Donna which also had a storm that year with a weird V shaped loop down in the Carib... Ike will come in at a sort of NW angle, wnw to NW... through the Keys somewhere just south of Miami. If it's a Cat 4 we are going to see devastation we haven't seen down there in years.

I have friends in the Keys I was on the phone with.. making plans to leave Key West on Sunday. The NWS map has the storm coming right through Key West though I think it will be further to the north up the Keys. Marathon or Upper Matecumbe? Either way.. keep watching.

Here are some pics from Publix in North Miami Beach. Water was available but not the Publix Gallons and not what a lot of people want. They are getting more tomorrow but not tons and then they will get more Sunday. People are shopping, calmly but looking nervous and resigned to getting something in this area...

Good Shabbos... talk later.. stay safe and love you all.. Bobbi
