Category 3 Hurricane Ike Headed West

Just taking a moment to mention that Ike who was upgraded to a hurricane earlier today has gone through a Rapid Intensification and is now a Major Category 3 Hurricane.

I'm sorry.. somehow I seem to have missed Category 2 on the way home from work.

Amazing... headed west... think we are in trouble down here. Hanna may threaten my favorite North Carolina Beach (Wrightsville) but Ike is going to threaten to rock my world here in South Florida.

Some show he's putting on out there in the Atlantic. I think they must have different tropical genes, two very different storms.
