Hurricane Ike Lunch Time Update -- Track Shifts South
And Miamians breathe a little bit easier as people down in the Keys try to rethink next week's plans and whether to get out or stay waiting for one more set of models, one more shift in the track..waiting on the 5PM.
Relevant info from the 11 AM NHC Ike Discussion:
"Ike has been moving south of west during the past few hours...about
260/14. This general track with some decrease in forward speed is
forecast over the next 36 hours due to a strong ridge wedging into
between Ike and Hanna."
Which is why combined with the new models they pulled the track to the south.
And... nothing is really good until we get recon info and a new set of models
run with that info. Then... we will see what we will see.
Waiting for the 3 day... enjoy these sites.

And those of us on the West Coast start paying a LOT more attention to Ike.
