One word of caution. Do NOT live or die by the models this far out as they move around a lot. One day WPB. One day Miami. One Day Naples. One day WPB.

The GFDL and the GFS are in my opinion going through a period of correcting themselves as they were the most stubborn to keep to the right so far.

If this new track does verify kudos to the Canadian and everyone is going to owe it a lot of apologies.

Either way... we have a real live official Tropical Storm headed on a path that should bring it to the State of Florida after affecting DR, Haiti and Cuba. Which means it has a lot of land to cover and that should be a battle in itself. Then, as the models have been insisting it will most likely intensify once it leaves the Old Bahama Passage or the actual coastline of Cuba and head more towards the north. Which part of Florida gets this.. hard to say yet. Also, how big will Fay be and what part of Fay will develop strongest. Will it have a big NE quadrant or be lopsided or a perfectly round little storm?

Stay tuned... now the "fun" begins.

Just in time for the 5 PM news.
