Flirtateous Fay or Soon to be Fay or One Day Fay..
Fay is obviously a coy maiden or a big flirt.
She's like ... now you see me, now you don't. She's playing peek a boo with the recon flying around in figure 8's inside her brain.
This is not just one big upper level low with a lot of rain trapped in it as they would have you believe and am tired of the mid-level story. Mid-level but just so so close to lower level. Let me tell you when it does connect we are all gonna wish it didn't.l
This storm has disaster all over it if the models are right. The slightest variation of forward movement direction wise can blow the forecast. 5 degrees off and this slams into Pt. Everglades and not WPB. Or further south... or further north. Or it can chug it's way up A1A if it wants.
I'm waiting, a lot of people are waiting and I am watching.
No one has said this is currently a deep storm, on the contrary I think it has a center and it's small and hard to find but down the road it will be a big storm if you believe the models and so far they have been picture perfect.
Have to tell you that if you haven't signed up for the one month freebie on www.accuweather.com you are wasting one of the best free features online. Enough weather toys there to make you forget TWC and your favorite game box. And, Bastardi is a hoot to read and he has saved me and been my comic relief all day. I just go over, watch him talk on his blog and lose it with every thought running through his busy little meteorological brain. He's fun. Love him or hate him he is fun to read and full of wisdom. He is right.. Neil Frank routinely relocated storms and picked the spot perfectly without dvorak and quikscat and blending 5 different models together.
We have lost something here with the way we track storms online. Models are great but there is nothing like an old time met that can hand prog a storm and tell you where the money is and take a chance and go with his GUT vs the general CYA mentality that most forecasters have to have in today's world.
So... unless we have suddenly found where the now famous Puerto Rican Chupacabra has been hiding... Fay is out there waiting to be found like some lost heroine in the old time movies.
Stay tuned... I do believe they will find her soon.
And, then figure out where to put the cone.
Fay on the Floater headed towards Florida.. come on Fay show us your center.
Beginning to feel like this is some New Age Drama... Fay is looking for her inner core, trying to find her true North...
As for me... gonna watch TV, listen to music, watch TWC... read.. take a bubble bath.
We had a Twister touch down in Miami today and we have been wet and hot and when a real LOW Pressure system does form it will seek out the lows and stay away from the highs..
In the meanwhile SAL (dust) has been moving in tandem with the "wave" and it will keep it weak for a while. Even the strongest models don't show it explode until after living the north coast of Cuba where it will travel the Old Bahama Passage a ways like I said the other day.
L8TR GATOR!

Does look a little like the chupacabra don't you think?
