Fay Moving Over Land
Quick post before I go off.
This is Fay. Notice how she is moving out of range of the Floater. Personally, I think she is moving a little faster than the advisory's given speed. We'll see. Time will tell as always. But, she was supposed to move slow here and then speed up after she gets past Cuba. Not sure, but would watch forward speed as it will greatly affect the models and the models will move.. a lot. often.
Do not focus on one model or one fast shift in a model. Give Fay a day to get through with the DR and Haiti and then see what she does with Cuba and beyond. The models will take the new data from today's plane and better center fixes and come up with better models tomorrow.
Watch the trend, watch which verify and then worry when we have a better picture.
As for me... I'll be watching, leaving TWC on in a room somewhere but whatever happens the reality is that the story will be told on Sunday not tomorrow. It is still in re-write category and it is being re-written in real time while the world watches.
As I have said before Weather is the best reality show there is!
As for what I think.. watch the water vapor loop over AMERICA and the Plains. There is NO way this storm is not going to feel the pull of those systems and not want to go north sooner rather than later.
Often over land they have an almost magnetic like effect with friction and they hover a bit off track and cling to land. Then they "bounce" as I have said before but they are really readjusting to the steering currents that want to direct the storm to her ultimate destination.
There is a lot there to pull the storm north.

I can't promise you where she will go ultimately but I can promise you the models will shift so settle in for an interesting 24 hours.
See you Saturday night, Bobbi

Sup Lois? Figuring the air wasn't the only thing moistening around Fay. Good to see you.
