Beautiful Bertha Almost Trapped SW of Bermuda

Bertha is one of the most beautiful storms I have seen in years. Reminds me a bit of Bonnie and Danielle. Out there in the middle of the ocean with beautiful form, spinning almost in the same spot and currently about to be trapped by a high pressure ridge.

I will save the big words about fronts that didn't pan out and high pressure zones and such as you have heard them all before. It is common for hurricanes to stall at some point and often they stall around here as they get caught between the various forces trying to exert force and control her movement. And, yet she sits spinning, inching slowly NW towards Bermuda where high bands flying off the top of Bertha are currently coloring their sunset with high cirrus clouds.

People will talk about wild lurches back to the west and worries on the East Coast but she will basically do what storms usually do at this lat.. she will eventually go north. Some say she may go north all the way to Canada and not loop off towards England but really only time will tell.

And, for now... it's time to watch something beautiful and not worry on what she will do in a few days unless of course you live in Bermuda. A lot will happen between now and Sunday. There will be time to worry and wonder down the line but even the NHC said in their discussion she will wobble and she is wobbling over very warm water with little shear and a high pressure area building over her.

Grab a cold drink, pick up some healthy snacks, get a comfortable chair because if you are going to watch the loops.. you may as well relax and enjoy the show.

Enjoy... be back later with more updates as they are needed or I feel like it :)

Incredible job NHC is doing tracking this tricky difficult but beautiful storm!
