Tropical Storm Bertha Forms in the Far Atlantic
Breaking news as they say or as my brother said in his email:
Mazel Tov! It's a girl!
(Suppose meteorological madness runs in the family genes)
Look at that picture above.. Looks like she has painted her lips red for the occasion!
More later.. just stating it is officially Bertha and does officially beat the old Bertha I believe by a day or two and..
Amazing.. really, truly as this was not the first good wave off the African Coast..get ready for some great long trackers.
In the Carib there is still an area of investigation and last night's models had it taking aim at the SE Coast (ie..Florida, Bahamas or Gulf)if it can manage to stay alive in a hostile environment.
Also...the Gulf is popping today..
The MJO must be in our neck of the woods as it is as if someone turned the Tropical Switch on!
Back later with track and forecast intensity and my thoughts but my first thought is timing is intrinsically connected to intensity and in order to get the intensity forecast correct they must be on the money with timing. This is a hard storm to figure.. it's moved very slow though it should move faster soon but if they are off on the timing they will also be off on the intensity. The track is pretty much a given in the short term but will change with time if the timing/intensity package is off..
As always.. timing is everything and Bertha wins the early season award!
Developing .....
;) Besos Bobbi!
Friggin awesome...
