Mid-Day Advisory.. Sunday activities
Weeded the flower garden in front of my front porch... has a coral rock border, was supposed to be Southern/Florida style and some ferns and weeds and tall grass took over and everyone forgot to water .. including me.. The mulch began being used as a sandbag during the earlier in the summer flooding rains for my son's side detached bedroom..
I took back the mulch, threw the crappy ferns out and all those little round balls down there in the ground, am sure they will try growing back.. was like deep dark Africa.. got tired of asking people to do it. Pulled them all out. Hosed myself down regularly when I remembered people die of heat stroke and was wearing a low cut scoop necked tank top so if that bratty kid across the street was home with his binoculars.. he got some show. Planted some tall, tropical orange things that look like birds of paradise but aren't. Some similar looking orchid things..not orchids but looked like them.. a few other things and mulched a bit. Will finish later when it cools down... want to do a few more things. Looks good.
Set up a small gallon fish tank with two african blue ciclids who look overly not happy about being in there but there is a little white piece of coral they keep swimming through and it almost looks like a salt water tank...which I want but can't afford.
Painted part of the back room and part of the back of the living room a color called "Uplifting" by Behr if you can figure out what that is... sort of sandy tropical yellow, not a Flagler Yellow.. beachy yellow. Painted a big curvy seaside sort of line down the part not painted.. thinking on something different.. to take back the room a bit.. been using it for storage. Looks real good in here, may do the whole of the back of the living room in that color. Tempted to fill up the big room dividing tank with water and do what the lady at the fish shop said.. what's the worse thing that can happen.. hahahaha
Listening to Radio Margarittaville and talking to a friend (guess who) while watching Redsox game.. on yahoo game live whatever.
Making soup for dinner...
Aren't I a busy little bee today??
Next weekend...I expect to be tracking I guess..
Nice wave off Africa. Signed up for month free subscription to Accuweather to read Bastardi on what bits and pieces of a Cape Verde season we might have.
Later...later...later...
Much later
