IRENE doing Kinky Things.. moving wnw not nw

Officially NW but no.. not according to the floater and the floater looks down into the storm.

The water vapor loops show a strong high, building in... flat horizontal highway to landfall.

Read the discussion and don't buy it.. it's based on old models and over reliance on models (that gave one safe looking run I might add) and old satellite imagery.

You can see the orientation of the high and how it sort of snaps down..

A pair of Upper Level Lows that she is following all moving west.

That high reaches half way across the country..

Show me the weakness?

Come on..show me?

Saw it yesterday, saw it last night but weather is fluid, changes fast and it has for now.. snapped shut down hard on Irene..

Waiting for Gulfstream Jet to get into the area around the storm.. especially the ridge to her north and see just what it sees..

Waiting to see the 5pm and hope Stacey Stewart or Beven is doing it.
