Another Winter Storm. Another Coastal Low? Meteorological Spring... But Winter lingers

Winter creeping down below the Mason Dixie Line...
... like a candidate looking for votes in the South.

The "snow" line is around the VA NC border.
Some parts north of Raleigh may get flurries... or may not.

Strong weather offshore and along the beaches.
That's a lot of nautical territory.

This is the time of year when you watch what's left of winter storms and keep an eye on the South for Spring storms, severe weather and you wonder on what May and June will be like in the tropics. When I say May and June I mean the Gulf of Mexico and Home Grown Brew off the East Coast. We begin to see indicators in March what May ... may be like.

Check out this tightly would low over Oklahoma.

Great wind chart below:

Click the mouse.
Voila.
Wind speed.

Transpose various models for tomorrow over that area... moving East.

Fronts moving from West to East.
Some energy being sucked up into the Gulf Coast states again.

Fronts are on the map.
Cold air is up in the clouds.
Falling down over parts of the country.
Won't last forever but for now it's winter.

If you some where near the coast that sticks it's head out into the Atlantic..

Del Marva will be messy....

Keep watching....

WV Loop shows our low and the flow moving East.
Should be pretty when it gets offshore.

Keep watching....

Pretty soon we will be talking on waves over the Serengeti...
