Invest 96L Forms in the East Atlantic. Yellow & Tracking West.
Introducing Invest 96L
20% chance in 5 days.
10% chance in 2 days.
Put it in motion....
Has a nice spin there.
Far away for now.
The models for now show a track West...
For now Invest 96L is holding it's own.
Staying low south of the dust and moving 10 to 15 Mph West
It's not the most favorable environment.
On some levels that is good.
Inhibits development when conditions are not optimal.
In this case if it holds itself together it allows it to stay low.
Waves that develop fast recurve and become fish storms.
This storm is not a fish storm if the models are on the money.
Not the best wave I've seen.
Not the best conditions it has to battle...
But, it is the best wave I've seen this season.
Up close.
Has that look of 2 eyes staring west ... not a blob.
Embedded currently low in a flow filled with moisture.
As long as it stays low and moves slow.
As I mentioned earlier...
Water is warm there now.
But, the water cools a bit ...
Should keep it on a leash nicely.
Better conditions would make this a Fish.
The bottom line is it needs to stay alive til it gets here...
That's long haul for a slow moving system.
Stay tuned.
Read the longer post I wrote earlier.
Everything still applies.
Shear may be lessening.
SAL may be a easing up it's grip.
El Nino "Godzilla" is out in the Pacific.
CLIMO is in it's favor.
Yesterday this was posted online.
Invest 96L in 2005 became Katrina....
It's that time of year...
Busy year or slow year...
Just takes one.
Right now, in the present, 2015
The question remains.
Can Invest 96L become Tropical Storm Danny.
Too soon to tell.
But everyone is watching it.
Besos Bobbi
Ps. Worth noting the previous wave made it across.
It stayed a wave but it made it across.
So did the wave NE of PR and the Virgin Islands
IF it stays alive... could be Danny
