Baby Pics of Tropical Storm Edouard
The 5th named storm of the 2014 Atlantic Hurricane Season has been named this evening at 11PM.
He's so very far away and have to tell you he's going fishing in the Atlantic. He may become a hurricane, but he's out to sea for now.
There he is entering the picture Stage Right. Wide angle here so you can see him in all his Neptunian Glory.
Note the swirl over the Yucatan. That's part of the moisture that as in the Caribbean earlier this week. The moisture from that broad area will connect with the westbound moisture of the Yellow X over S Florida and once over the very warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico they could mingle ... dance and possibly spin up in a wild Flamenco Dance. It's possible. It has to be watched carefully.
South Florida will get lots of rain ...and it's used to rain but have to tell you there are areas in South Florida that are prone to flooding and everyone needs to watch carefully and pay attention to the local NWS there for local breaking warnings.

As for the system now over Florida there is a pinwheeling look to it on radar... a sort of spin but nothing concretely organized. Pressures are still high... relatively. Keep watching.
Not much to write home about for now but it may be waiting to hit the Loop Current to become Fay.
Time will tell...
Stay tuned and AGAIN...

Sweet Tropical Dreams... Bobbi Storm
Note there is an ULL with entrained moisture East of the Yellow X that has been prodding it westward. It's a complicated set up out there in the tropics and yet.. nothing really dangerous is going on so sleep tight. I'll have more model discussing tomorrow on the Yellow X over South FL and Edouard out in the Atlantic spinning his wheels. Nice wheels. Probably a convertible.
