Hurricane Harbor: Say It Ain't Snow . . . Watch Out Oklahoma City! And... I'm Watching the Tropics ...

Reminds me of the famous Snow Plow Game in 1982 when the Patriots brought a snow plow onto the field for the kicker...but no it's not football up north it's baseball in Denver.

Good thing it was the METS playing baseball and not the MARLINS... cause the Marlins ain't used to snow on the field when they play baseball.

And, yet it seems that snow in April in Denver is not that big a deal. Happens. To people like me... from Miami, it seems totally bizarre. Hurricanes happen during the football season. Ice happens during the Ice Hockey Season. Birds and Bees do it happen during the Baseball Season... not Snow.

Note the news feed... Miami Herald runs it as a story like "news of the weird" vs other places write it up as ... "yet, another snow storm... "

Baseball Weather is supposed to be made for summer clothes with possibly a raincoat.

Note in the movie Bull Durham... it says rain not snow...

And, in April of 2013 in Denver...sometimes it snows.................

And....that bad weather is moving East.... rain is moving in on Iowa and that's good ..cause if it snows in Iowa again my daughter-in-law is going to lose it. I've sent many a memo to Mother Nature that she is sooo done with snow this winter... but Mother Nature ain't listening...

And, there is a stronger than normal chance for severe weather in Oklahoma City as this system moves East and meets up with hot, humid, sexy air from the Gulf of Mexico. Wham, Bam, Thank You Ma'am Thunderstorms with possible tornadoes and other sorts of Springtime weather.

Hmmmmnnnn......

They always get the weather...........whatever it is...

....except of course they don't get hurricanes now do they???

As for me...still watching the tropics mind you.... interesting waves and interesting action in the Atlantic for this time of year ;)

Check out the water temperature anamolies:

Now...look at the "juice loop" and notice how those weak, early waves are moving west into the Caribbean ... compare the two and see the similarities.

Note also.... the warm water in the Caribbean that is oozing into the Gulf of Mexico that is now fueling Spring outbreaks of Twisters.... but will soon fuel and sustain early season development in that same area. Especially with dangling frontal boundaries from late winter systems that become draped "down there" in all that moist tropical energy...
