Attn Turns to the Eastern Atlantic 20% Yellow Circle African Wave Train Begins. 99L Joins 98L Inability to Find a Center But Lots of RAIN

 

Saturday Night Update....

Worth noting that the models showing 99L would develop into a Tropical Storm for a brief time, were not verified and in reality it is still an area containing Tropical Storm force winds within squalls but NOT a Tropical Storm. Meaning obviously the name Danielle is still in play for the next named storm. 

Earthnull confirms that as seen below.

So why did they designate it a Potentical Tropical Cyclone? Because the potential was obviously there and the weather within was of Tropical Storm force winds yet the circulation never closed off. For a while there was a good midlevel center, but it just never got it together. Strike two on Invests in the Bay of Campeche this month. Will a third area try to form in the BOC and is the 3rd time the charm or was that all there is and we move on? Now our attention turns to the Eastern Atlantic where a wave coming off of Africa has caught the model's eyes and been given a yellow circle with 20% chances in the 5 day. 

This is the wave that has come off....

That's a big area, needs to find a center.

Something that has been elusive this season so far!

There's quite a few waves coming off of Africa.

At some point one should find it's center.

And we should have a real hurricane.

Til then we will have models....

...lots of models with lots of scary scenarios.

Far out time wise for now so don't buy into them.

But remember it's hurricane season and be prepared!

But Danielle is out there somewhere....

Somewhere there's a model searching....

...for long range tracks 10 days away..

Never buy any forecast further out than 5 days.

And listen to the NHC not your Aunt Martha!!

(well unless she works at the NHC...)
