The Huge Dry High Stuck in Place. Waaiting for the Pattern To Flip and Debating When and Where to take a Mini Vacation. How Bout you?

Note on the top left grid there is a ball of fire about to move down towards the water and it may try and form into a low. There is also a very low westbound tropical wave moving into the Caribbean that was an Invest but is not expected to develop in anyway but it's fun to watch just the same.

Using this grid from www.spaghettimodels.com
It shows the potential for tropical development in red.
Red means GO in thta middle left grid.
Red is Go. Hot Water.
A front is stuck trying to move South.
A purple splotch is off the SE Coast.
Waiting for that front to delive a Low.

The 3 Day Loop below shows that story well.

Keeping this simple today. There's nothing out there developing at this time. Models imply something will develop off the SE Coast and they vary with regard to the exact location and intensity. But the models are all focusing on the same area and that area is totally within the realm of climatology and this year's favored resort locations. I like this 3 day loop above because if they can't get the 3 day right, what can they get right? Not saying that in a "mean" way but a realistic way. The Florida Keys will get rain according to this for the rest of 2020 as they have not moved that green circle now for days. Okay. There's a front, a weak front and it's trying very hard to push it's way down through the South where it's enhancing rain possibilities and offering a promise it can't furfil of cooler days ahead. A Low emerges off the East Coast and the High in the Gulf of Mexico does the Cha Cha but tries to maintain it's presence.

Some models showed a Low forming around the Big Bend Area of Florida and others key in on the SE Coast near Georgia and the Carolinas. God I miss St. Mary's Georgia and a few other places along the coast in the Low Country where it's beautiful but you really don't want to hear about that. So keeping this very simple and saying honestly nothing is happening today of  merit in the tropics. Yes, me and the crew will watch loops and stare longingly at tropical waves westbound NOT socially distancing. And, why I bring that up is they are coming off fast and heavy and moving steady West under a strong High. Gee, I said high twice here so far so I'll say it again HIGH pressure is in place and won't let go.

But eventually all good things come to pass and Cut Off Lows even pick up and move at some point and at some point the huge High gets exhausted, tired and bored and shuffles his location and yes I do think the High is a male vs female, but I'm sure a hundred thousand people could argue that point with me.

So it's been a nice discussion here and I'll update tomorrow. I still believe the time frame around July 8th will see a storm of some kind (anywhere from strong Invest to OMG could this become a Hurriane but probally a Tropical Storm or Depression for sure) and then slowly, bit by bit, invest by invest we will be heading into the depth of the Hurricane Season vs the Doldrums of June and early July. Beaches got lucky as there is no storm threatening, yet in Miami they shut the beaches down for July 4th so all I can say is sometimes you can't win for losing.

Regarding those Tropical Waves though nothing seems to stop those westbound waves as we have a very wet Sahel region.... you may want to Google that but it ups the ante in the Hurricane Season.

Bottom Line. Apparently it's National Bourbon Day? Really??? Who knew? Does Twitter make this stuff up or is there a calendar somewhere? I thought any day was okay with being National Bourbon Day. If you don't drink liquor sip Coca Cola. If you don't do Coca Cola drink water and just pretend

I can't believe I typed all this today. It's like someone stole my brain.
Just kidding. Semi silly mood and again there is nothing left to say.
Oh my video from Twitter for the day ...the first day of July 2020!
If you drink Bourbon or Coke or Water today make a toast to July....
...half way through 2020 and every day we get closer to the real hurricane

Ps I know you want a song.  A song that can't go wrong.

Since we are watching that weather system making it's way through Alabama currently let's put up this nice Oldie Goldie from where bars and beaches were open and you could get get drunk or just feel "really good' and take a walk on the beach, feel the breeze and sing silly beach songs. Maybe Alabama is open, who knows I'm in Raleigh today and going to be here this July 4th Weekend but where will I be later in July? That's the question I'm pondering right now because I need a vacation. Til then I'll sing a Jimmy Buffet tune and just pretend.
