Tropics Quiet Going Into a Rainy Weekend in the Carolinas. Watch Areas Close In For Home Grown Action to Try and Spin Up. Atlantic On Lock Down from the Huge Momma High Out There
Here's the satellite loop of the whole basin.
Africa keeps firing waves off.
Saharan Dust is there this time of year.
There's moisture in the Caibbean very low down.
And this site likes the Gulf of Mexico.
So I'm showing it.
The EPAC has been trying to develop something.
Lots of purple there.
But so far nothing.
Eventually something will happen there.
Fro now the Atlantic is held in check.
SAL and the HIGH
So look at the HIGH... don't look for possible close in Lows but just look at the strength of that HIGH Pressure taking up the Atlantic in the current models. #tropics on pause? Or does close in, home grown surprise us? Or the Azores dancer. pic.twitter.com/ldlyqgPEv1— BobbiStorm (@BobbiStorm) June 12, 2020
And as for the beautiful orange juice loop.
That's what we used to call it.
We were young, silly and had lots of fun.
#FridayThoughts on the tropics. Lack of action means beach days for many. Some possibilities. Turn sound up for thoughts or just enjoy the pretty loops. Wave still westbound low in Caribbean pic.twitter.com/EF84uSnxSi— BobbiStorm (@BobbiStorm) June 12, 2020
I know it's being ignored.
But that low out near the Azores now ...
...is putting on a nice show.
Has spin and a twist.
Keep watching close in and the Caribbean.
Gulf of Mexico is moist.
When you have that much moisture...
...over warm water.
Something's gotta give.
Nothing happening in the Tropics of note and nothing expected for the next 5 days. Of course, that next 5 days image is often pre-empted this year by something close in forming and new Yellow Circles going on so take it with a grain of sea salt. Models infer possibilities but the big, huge high pressure area over the Atlantic is holding tight against devlelopment for now. That doesn't mean something can't try to form down in the SW Carib with moisture being pulled North towards the Gulf of Mexico or something off the SE Coast and there's a long shot at a named system out in the distant Atlantic near the Azores. All of these have extremely low chances. So now is a good time to use your time wisely and prepare for the 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season. I don't type that just because I like to practice my typing, it's a long phrase to type "Atlantic Hurricane Season" but I do it because the best thing you can do is be prepared rather than running around l ike a chicken without your head or screaming up at the heavens "You can't be seriousl? Not NOW!"
Every major forecaster has predicted a busy season and we are already searching for Dolly the D storm so take it as good advice it's better to have some supplies, a plan of where you'd evacuate to and how to stay safe and healthy during a worldwide Pandemic that most likely has impacted you both financially and otherwise. It is what it is and Mother Nature don't care what you want she does what she wants, every year during the Hurricane Season. Someone, somewhere almost always gets dealt a bad card and is forced to deal with a landfalling hurricane and in busy years sometimes two in one year.
Have a good weekend. Not sure what I will be doing but I know I'll be doing it under gray skies with rain frequently coming down as I'm in the Carolinas where rain is a thing currently.
