Black Friday Special From the NHC 30% Yellow Special Circle in Atlantic

Okay there's a 30% yellow circle on the 5 day.

Out in the Atlantic.

Not moving towards the East Coast.

Messy sort of non tropical Gale Center of sorts.

This really is one of their "yes we see it" things.

A gale center with strong winds can develop.

Not sure why some of these they highlight...

...and others they ignore.

The Water Vapor below shows the story.

You can see it off the coast of Florida, a confluence of a few factors including an old frontal boundary and more fronts on the move that will keep it out to sea. If it's still being highlighted by the NHC on Saturday night I'll update then. For now.... in Raleigh we are between fronts and it's cold though the next one brings warmer temperatures and a rainy Saturday. Note how the fronts are marching across the country from West to East and at times colder air dips down from the Polar Vortex of 2018. 

More interesting to me is an area many people are watching and Rob from Crown Weather sent out information on today. I've been watching the Gulf of Mexico as it's an area that often gets busy between fronts when weather lingers this time of year. And we have seen this pattern this year so we keep watching.

Again watch that area in the water vapor loop.

You'll see where the potential lies.

As for the Black Friday Shopping Storm...

I bought a fake fur coat (70% off) and long sleeve nice winter shirts in jewel tone colors and a holiday shirt with a bit snow flake on it and reads "Let it Snow!" because ...how could I resist? Malls are crazy busy, didn't realize that many people lived in Raleigh though imagine people came in from smaller towns to shop at Crabtree Valley Mall that luckily had good weather and no flooding ... just flooded with shoppers looking for good deals. I bought 2 thin, purple Moleskin notebooks that rang up $2 when I asked the lady making me an Starbucks drink how much it was.... I told her "I'll take it" she asked me if there were more at that price. Who knows? Marked $13.99 and there was a sign that read 30% off and I had a 25% off coupon to use. I didn't ask questions just paid her the money and enjoyed the drink. Math may not be my specialty but I know 30% shouldn't be $2 but that was what it rang up. A shirt that was supposed to be $14.99 on sale rang up for $9.99 and a wallet from Patricia Nash rang up $14.99 (new pattern) so I just keep wondering... "Just why?"

I get they want to have strong sales but if they can sell things this cheap today, maybe lower the prices all year and people would buy more or maybe it's just Black Friday Insanity which worked out just fine for me because let it snow... I have what to wear :)

Ps any problems with how this reads I'm working on a computer that is not new but I haven't used it in a while and trying to get used to it. Some people love change, not me... but it's a nice machine and it's time I use it more as I really bought it to do writing and research vs blogging and looping. 2018 is almost over so it's time to finish off those things that have been on my "to do list"
