Show of Color in Caribbean... Teasing ...Twisting... Too Soon But Fun to Watch. Do Blue Crayons Really Burn?

This time of year we often have tropical tease systems on the satellite imagery. The one above is a good example. It maybe gone tomorrow but for those of us in the world of tropical weather any kind of color on the loops gets our heart racing. And....then we remember.... it's not even June yet. Spoiler alert... winds too strong, water temperatures not warm enough and if you want to keep oogling it go right ahead and enjoy the little birdie falling into South America. Might regenerate tomorrow...  Nice little trough from the tease into the Bahamas.

Still a lot to talk about with the season fast approaching. For one the demise of El Nino came faster than many of the early 20 or so GOP candidates from the field. Suddenly they were gone...

Enter La Nina?

As for the Hurricane Preparation tip of the day. Rumor has it you can use a crayon for a candle in an emergency. If by chance you listened to me and went out and bought your toddler the 64 pack of crayons just in case the thought of their/your iPad battery not making it through a hurricane...  You may want to try it. I'm going to try it tomorrow...or the next day.. I'll let you know how it goes. Of course if this works you may have to explain to the kiddies a modified version of the Donner Party as they watch their crayons go one...by one... by one until their are none!

Hey sometimes you got to do what you got to do...
...if this works. Buy LOTS of crayons.

There are even weather coloring books
(where were they when we were kids??)

I'll be back soon... stay tuned.

Try and blue crayon first...
