Winter Storm? Chicago Fire! Charlie Brown Stalks?

Sitting here watching the WV for clues into the timing of this "event" that might bring parts of the Piedmont snow... or ice..........or sleet.............or freezing rain............or a wintry mix....

Note there is the smallest chance for snow flurries TONIGHT in the middle of the night that no one is paying attention to while they are looking at the long term picture... hmmmn.

	TODAY HI: 38 MOSTLY SUNNY. HIGHS IN THE UPPER 30S. NORTH WINDS AROUND 5 MPH...BECOMING WEST AROUND 5 MPH THIS AFTERNOON.
	TONIGHT LO: 28 PARTLY CLOUDY. A SLIGHT CHANCE OF FLURRIES AFTER MIDNIGHT. COLD WITH LOWS IN THE UPPER 20S. SOUTHWEST WINDS AROUND 5 MPH.
	THURSDAY HI: 35 MOSTLY SUNNY AND BRISK. HIGHS IN THE MID 30S. NORTH WINDS 15 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH.
	THURSDAY NIGHT LO: 22 PARTLY CLOUDY. COLD WITH LOWS IN THE LOWER 20S. NORTHEAST WINDS AROUND 5 MPH.
	FRIDAY HI: 35 A CHANCE OF SNOW...SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN IN THE MORNING...THEN SNOW...FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET LIKELY IN THE AFTERNOON. HIGHS IN THE MID 30S. SOUTHEAST WINDS 5 TO 10 MPH... BECOMING SOUTHWEST IN THE AFTERNOON. CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION 60 PERCENT.
	FRIDAY NIGHT LO: 25 FREEZING RAIN AND SNOW LIKELY IN THE EVENING... THEN PARTLY CLOUDY AFTER MIDNIGHT. COLD WITH LOWS IN THE MID 20S. CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION 60 PERCENT

Note this "weather event" may affect everyone from Atlanta up through Raleigh and out to the Outer Banks.

This morning's news is like a page out of my life... one story weirder than the other. I guess it's a "slow news day" . . . .

TWC is covering the Chicago Fire both on the air and on Twitter. It is a big story. Another fear is that the subfreezing temps could freeze the building if the water the firemen are pouring on it ...freezes...then the building could implode. The Fireman being interviewed didn't seem to think so, but they keep asking on TWC.

Where are all the Firegirls I wonder? Or are they Firewomen? Add it to that bucket list of things "to Google some day" but I know they are out there. Am betting the E2 Diet Craze is going to make many a girl go out and join the firefighters. Or... they are just going to give Weight Watchers a run for their money. Noticed all those "Male" Weight Watcher ads? They are trying to compete with this:

I went into Whole Foods on Sunday and they were doing promos for the new E2 Diet Challenge.

It looked like a bunch of Chippendale dancers were dressed up as Vegan Firefighters all happily pushing fruits, grains and nuts. The nuts were good ...by the way...  Just saying. Sweet friendly guys all promoting good eating, good reading and healthy exercise. Hey, I'm about 85 to 90 Vegetarian currently so not knocking the food plan, nor am I knocking guys getting on top of the Weight Loss Bandwagon that WW usually flaunts in your face every January online. I've also over the years lost and kept off weight with Weight Watchers.... GREAT plan but trust me the gang at Whole Foods is much more fun to look at...........

Back to weather... 

Jim Cantore is posting pics of the fire taken from radar and satellite imagery. Fires are big news to cover.

Hmmmm... interesting. 

Either way fire stories are big news always. One of the first things I had to do in journalism school was to rate the level of the story by the number of "alarms" the fire was...  For example if there was a 3 Alarm fire at Main and Johnson Street vs a plane crash in another town. A 5 Alarm fire in the local town vs a plane crash in Salt Lake City far away, etc, etc, etc. The fire is currently a 5 Alarm Fire...

In news of the weird... Charlie Brown..or the "voice of Charlie Brown" was arrested for stalking. Millions of people everywhere looked at that story this morning and smiled wondering if it was the "red hair little girl"  ;)

Oh come on, you know that mental image popped into the collective heads of baby boomers everywhere...
