Yellow Circle in Atlantic 20% - Nadine...

Interesting that they have upped the yellow circle in the Atlantic to 20% this afternoon at 2PM.

As for Nadine she is being "erratic" which basically means she is not following the earlier tracks and she is doing the meandering SE thing. Had they forecast her to move to the SE they would not say she is doing erratic things...they would have said she was following the previous forecast.

As for why Nadine is being "erratic" ... first of all very few storms make it that far back east so far south.. and that would only happen when the steering currents are erratic. She is just a symptom, obviously, of her environment which is erratic.

I'll give you erratic. I went to the gym, came out of the gym and needed a sweater which was not enough to keep this Miami girl warm as a front pushed through North Carolina and the wind out of the North was... um... erratic.

Maybe... it's just some temperature differential thing where it's not THAT cold, but compared to how it was it's cold. Maybe that is how Nadine keeps going in the Atlantic where she seems cut off from tropical energy, yet she's handing in there.

She "should" soon move east and eventually northeast and head towards some part of Europe. Then again, my close friend always says never say "should' so the jury is still out and we are waiting for her and her steering currents to become less erratic.

I'm so used to this name that if I had another girl I'm beginning to think I'd use the name Nadine.

Either way winter cold fronts...or rather Fall cold fronts seem hear to stay and that will change where we look for storms to form... real storms not extra-tropical storms out in the Atlantic. The door is also open for something from the Gulf to be dragged across South Florida...or any part of Florida over the next few weeks... should something form.

As for me... I'm shopping for a new coat.. last winter was so mild I didn't need one. It seems this winter I will.

Maybe we will have more areas to watch in a few days as the area south of Haiti that may be related to the previous Invest is currently dressed in red. Of course, that could be just a temporary show of color.

Loop it and watch.... you never know about these old Invests... during erratic times.
