11PM Monday Night - Ike Moving WNW at 13.. Still Over Cuba

WEST-NORTHWEST NEAR 13 MPH, still has a closed eye wall or did with the last recon. Amazing storm, really.

Going to bed... strong winds here in Miami. Have a "wind advisory" and blustery outside but as everyone says we "dodged a bullet" and thinking we won't in October when cold fronts start coming down the state.

Catastrophic damage in Cuba near where she made landfall, more so in Turks and Caicos and Haiti is ravaged beyond any words I could use... people still being found in the mud, no death toll number is to be relied upon for days.

This is a storm to be remembered and it's only half way down. It has places to go, cities to see, waves to crash on someone's shore be it Mexico or Texas.

Watch out.. it's not over til it's over and it's far from over.

With the circulation so strong when it comes off Cuba it will ramp up again once it gets it's sea legs and zoom off probably at 13 or 14 miles per hour forward speed somewhere.

Watch out..

Watch him spin tonight ..he's putting on a great show. Donate money to the Red Cross or agencies you know who help people in the Carib.

They need help.. easier to get it to Haiti than Cuba who was hit with 4 storms in less than a month but people will try.

Be thankful all we are getting is a blustery breeze in Miami.. or we would have over 80% structural damage as there was in Great Inauga that has strong concrete buildings ...as Miami had destruction in the 26 Hurricane that was a strong 4.

Be thankful... give charity, be thankful.. enjoy life and the tropical breeze.
