Feels Like Rain Friday.......
Okay, I'm back. A little refreshed, a little revived and very reminded how lucky I am to have such good friends.
So... back at the Miami ranch.. it's raining, straight down, no air movement, just steady rain and a humid, tropical feel to the air. It looks like Fall up north but it feels like summer still.
Yesterday in Key West:
10/18/2007 in KEY WEST, FL
High Temperature: Actual: 90°F
Normal: 84°F
Record: 89°F
By the way..the felt like temperature was way higher and no it didn't rain. Distant lightning from passing showers that passed off to the south.
So... the rain that was down in the Carib is moving a bit north today and drifting in randomly this morning on South Beach. When the sun comes out completely I'm running over to Starbucks but for now making due with the old office brew.

Watch the water vapor loop loop.. funky upper level low. I still vote we stop naming subtropicals and start naming ULLS next hurricane season!
Speaking of hurricanes. I told my friend who is on a conference in Key West this week that he is to say to any local who asks "Key West shouldn't get any hurricanes until way after Fantasy Fest" unless he wants to see people's faces go white as a ghost ;)
Hope everyone is having fun down there at FLYNAVY lol.
Seriously... I got work to do today on the mainland. Back in Kansas this morning.
In the world... lots of explosive events in Pakistan and I'm wondering when we are going to do something to find a way to make energy another way than pay $90 a barrel. Come on people..we are way smarter than this...
Astrologically speaking.. moon is in late Capricorn conjunct my cross to bear heartache that doesn't stop aching lol. Okay, I'm having a problem here being "down" lol listening to "kisses sweeter than wine..." from one of the Stevens, can't remember which one.. (lost look on my face, shrugging, oh well... who cares, whats in a name... a rose by any other name still smells the same and still has thorns... )
Panhandle really got slammed yesterday.
Random thought: Isn't it interesting to think on how all of the Northern Florida hoped not to get hit by some Opal sort of storm all hurricane season and then gets slammed by Twisters that normally would hit in the Spring. Shows you that ...you can't always see it coming at you and you usually won't get what you worry on but will get blindsided by something you never saw coming at you... for good or bad.
Had the most wonderful supper Wednesday night watching the sun set into Florida Bay, two days earlier I wouldn't have bet a dime that life would have worked out that way.. sometimes you just never see it coming until it comes.
So... remember you never know what's around the corner for good or bad so enjoy the moment of "now" and live in it, enjoy it, embrace it.. tomorrow may be sunnier than you think but today in Miami, it's gonna be a mix of sun and rain.
For the Shabbos front...
Making Chicken with some sort of tropical sauce whenever I figure out what kind, brown rice pilaf, vegetables, fish with salads (darn I forgot to buy fish.......) and the usual suspects.
In the sticky heat I feel you, open up to me..
Love comes out of nowhere baby
Just like a hurricane...
and it feels like rain..
and it feels like rain..
enjoy life's surprises ;)
