And the Winner is......................
Looking through notes on the ecowalk I went on today as well as some old notes from hurricane seasons past.
Here are some nice pics that show off how beautiful Miami is and how great it is to get out into the spectacular sunshine on a hot but breezy Sunday morning.
Usually I go on walks from the Historical Museum with the incomparable and amazing Paul George, but today I went on a walk given by Frank Schena and he did a really good job. Learned alot on things I don't usually think on much. I spend so much time studying the people and economic development of South Florida yet really, rarely think on the ecological development or devastation in any given neighborhood. Funny but I probably know more these days about the evolution of the island of Key West than I do Miami Beach where I work and play.
note the new tropical miami birds.. 70 or 80 feet in the air.. like new age dinosaurs... :(
As for the tropics.. if you are still here..
The Invest Winner of the Day is 94L! Yup, the system down by the Yucatan that Steve Lyons has been excitingly showing off on the ledge of Central America..that is still there but not doing a whole lot is the ONLY INVEST LEFT TONIGHT!
Some people have been wondering what has been going on over there the last few days. Usually they are very conservative at the NRL site and rarely put up an invest on an area unless it is almost a sure thing. Today.. yesterday they went invest crazy and at one time had 5 invests up. You got the feeling Daddy went on a weekend cruise and sonny boy was home with his friends partying... Daddy came home and started screaming "WHO AUTHORIZED FIVE INVESTS" and someone over there is doing kitchen duty cleaning the coffee pot in the employee lounge for the rest of the week. :)
Okay... so while the area down in the Yucatan or the Carib depending on how you see it may not be the next Wilma lol or Typhoon Tip but it may get it's act together. May being a real IF word, but could happen. So... that is my personal pick for the week. Bahamas would be hard to develop considering how fast the flow is right now.
Earlier this afternoon I went outside and stood.. in the tropical rain and felt it fall down over my body and it felt warm and nice and refreshing and oh wow.. was incredible. Well, I was going to take a shower.. I just got a running start.
So... come on 94L.. hit me with your best shot.. fire away :)
Hey.. the good old Bamm and Lbar like Miami.. they really like Miami, don't pay attention to those other models going NW :)
Besos.. Bobbi
