Weird year.

Off of Africa ...low down is a wave.

I'm not very impressed.

Ready to be proven wrong.

Truth is everyone is looking at long range models that show this wave just off Africa, riding low in the water, making it into the Caribbean and some show it to be a player far down the road. Too far for me to believe models (they liked Jerry....) so know it's on the back burner.

There is nothing currently in the tropics an immediate threat to the US coastline and Islands look pretty good as well. It's a good time to remember sometimes small waves run under the radar, so to speak, and show up in the Caribbean. Also we have dangling cold fronts over warm water and they can be sneaky pop up systems. But for now.......all the energy is up along the Atlantic Coast with the early Nor'easter. 

I'll be offline for the  next two days and then it's clear sailing through the rest of the Hurricane Season and Winter. The weather in North Carolina is beautiful, cool and the air feels fresh with signs of color on various trees. I love it. It's awesome. I'll be honest... I do miss Miami and family there, but it's a good place to live.  Good quality of life. Seasons. Lots of reasons. Panthers won this week! Dolphins did not ...

So sweet dreams.... may they be tropical or Winter or Autumn Dreams.... I'll update Wednesday Night or Thursday Morning and then it should be more regular. But, will there be anything to write about of a tropical nature? Stay tuned...
