...and get further West to create tropical trouble.

Melissa is that you?

If there's no shear there.

And something gets into the Carib....

...it could be trouble.

This is time sensitive as it's LIVE at 2 PM on Sunday. Enjoy if that's your thing, a lot of people watching. Bit too sad for me, but the ocean is fun to watch. You're choice. Either way it tells the story of 2025 in North Carolina where our beaches have been relentlessly attacked after watching our mountains go through a terrible tragedy last year with Helene just a little over a year ago. Chantal, this year, caused flooding in the Piedmont when it cruised over Raleigh and met more terrain and dips that are up in Durham and Carrborro/ChapelHill in the Northern part of the Triangle. The drama at the beach on Buxton (the Southern edge of OBX) has been not from Major Hurricane Landfalls but waves cranked up by an endless parade this year or Invests and Hurricanes and Coastal Lows in the process of curving out to sea but impacting the area. One thing about NC is that it has 4 incredible seasons and hurricane season can get you even if you are what you thought was "safely" inland. Always good to be aware and prepared. Snow and Ice have made us world famous.

Yes I am in a mood today.

I slept maybe 2 hours.

I was sick a few days ago.... 

...think my husband has it now.

On antibiotics for Sinus issues also..

....they always make me hazy, lazy.

But we have weather.

And I love weather.

Rain has been moving in ...in bands.

Fast moving actually.

Some gusts have pine trees swaying.

Our Coastal Carolina Low is by Wilmington NC

It's not a tropical storm....

...tho it has a nice solid center.

And wind flow around it

And the flow from the NE 

is bringing in cool, beautiful air.

I'm not covering the Northern Low...

...forecast to give lots of rain to NE

Long Island.

Places in between....

... Beaches up the coast get surf.

As far as models go....

...I don't trust them this year very much.

And which of the gazillion models...

...so little time, so many models.

But you want to see so I'll remind you...

The EURO sees a storm in the Carib 10/26.

The GFS sees a storm near the Bahamas.

Same day.

So they agree on the day...

...but not location.

The truth is there is a possibility of a late October storm that could come out of the CAG or it could be the wave that is about to roll of of Africa, not to be confused with 97L that may get a name first and that would be Lorenzo. The storm over Africa IF that was to form (and nothing else close in near Iceland gets a name) that name would be Melissa. I love the name Melissa. I've used it for my Starbucks name as you'd think Bobbi would be easy but alas you can't imagine how much they mess that up.
