Yellow Circles Arise in the Atlantic. Invest 93L Tagged. But Fronts.......Will Will They Go? Do We Get an October Surprise??
Going to start with this graphic and then move on to the 8 AM NHC Tropical Outlook for the Atlantic. What do you see up above? Fronts, on the move and day by day that becomes more consistent. Anything approaching from the SE will almost always move out to sea with this pattern. Anything that forms at the bottom of one of these fronts could ride the front out to sea. I'm not ready to say that the name Wanda will not be used, odds are it will be used but will it threaten a landfall is the real question? Granted this is a long range model, but it shows the pattern that is developing. Close in, pop up surprises can arise and you should remember they can and do happen this time of year.
Note the Islands are in the way of the tropical waves.
So they need to watch them carefully.
92L is gone.

Long term it can become strong.

Below we see Floyd 1987
Hurricane Floyd of 1987 was a perfect example of the sort of system that can form this time of year. Most people outside of Miami do not remember there was a Floyd that year (75 MPH) and even some in Miami forget it as it didn't make much of an impact. But it formed down below, road a front and zoomed through in faster than you could say "okay that wasn't much" but it did get a name. Some years you get a weak Floyd and other years you get a wild, intense Wilma. But when fronts are on the move this time of year, you must watch the tail end of any front should it linger in the Florida Straits vs zooming out and away.
I will update if anything changes, develops or looks promising. Or if I have some random thought I just have to share but til then I want you to think on one thing. While it's been quiet the last month or so with regard to landfalling threatening hurricanes.... Mother Nature has gone hog wild with volcanoes and earthquakes. Two back to back in the Pacific occured last night in the 6 and 7 range in Hawaii and Alaska; even Puerto Rico had some action with in the 3 range. Hmnnn...
92L is still kind of there unofficially anchored off the tip of North Carolina, the vort is very visible as is the weather they are still having out there this morning. If you don't follow DaBuh and Chick Jacobs you must not be on Twiter ...they are awesome!
What kind of October Surprise will Mother Nature have for us all this coming Halloween?

If I had a crystal ball I'd go as a Gypsy and make weather predictions ;)
